Date: 2026-09-16
As the Mid Autumn Festival and National Day holidays approach in 2026, the number of visitors and leisure travelers in Hunan Province continues to rise. China Southern Airlines will coordinate its transportation capacity in advance and add a total of 132 new flights in Hunan from September 28th to October 10th, covering routes originating from Changsha, Zhangjiajie, and Changde to meet the diverse travel needs of passengers.
In terms of departure from Changsha, China Southern Airlines will focus on adding new routes from Changsha to Beihai, and increase the frequency of international and domestic routes from Changsha to Seoul, Beijing Daxing, Chengdu Tianfu, Qingdao, Chongqing, Tianjin, etc. At the same time, it will continue to operate stable routes from Changsha to popular tourist destinations such as Lhasa, Nyingchi, and Altay. From the current flight booking situation, it can be seen that the ticket prices for the Hunan departure routes during this year's National Day are generally affordable, with multiple popular routes offering discounted fares.
The Zhangjiajie route will be increased in a targeted manner. On the basis of stable implementation of one evening flight from Zhangjiajie to Guangzhou (CZ3381/2) per day, new morning flights will be added from September 29th to October 2nd and October 5th to 8th, achieving two daily operations on the Zhangjiajie to Guangzhou route. The key travel routes in Changde will be synchronized and encrypted. From September 30th to October 1st, Changde to Beijing, September 28th and 30th, October 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 9th, Changde to Guangzhou routes will start working overtime. Both routes will operate twice a day during overtime hours.
Prior to the holiday, airlines are intensifying their Hunan routes, directly responding to the release of demand for double holiday travel and family visits. The increase in flights to destinations such as Zhangjiajie and Changde will enhance the connectivity efficiency between scenic spots and source cities, and also provide support for the transportation capacity supply and destination reception of the Mid Autumn Festival and National Day cultural tourism market. For Hunan's cultural and tourism industry, which focuses on mountains, waters, and ethnic customs as its core attractions, the stability and encryption of the main air routes are a key factor in transforming holiday passenger flow from the booking end to the visiting end.
